I have been active in SACAC and NACAC since 1992. I was president of SACAC in 2004-2005, was a NACAC Board Director from 2008 to 2011, was on the ACCIS Board of Trustees from 2012-2015, and was in the presidential cycle for NACAC from 2015 to 2018, serving as president in 2016-2017. I was in education for 46 years as a teacher (41 of the 46 and in every grade but 8th if you count my student teaching) and later college counselor (from 1992 to 2020). I taught in public schools for the first 15 years of my career and then was at The Westminster Schools in Atlanta for 31 years. I am joining this group since I retired in 2020 and want to stay active. I am now volunteering in multiple capacities, including with SACAC and NACAC. Among other retirement activities, I am on the NACAC College Fair Committee for Atlanta, am a member of the Rural and Small Town SIG, am chair of a board at UVA called Theological Horizons, am serving on the Cathedral Preschool Board in Atlanta, am on the Cathedral (College) Scholarship Committee (helping to meet gap needs of some Atlanta students), and am in my third year with my husband as Co-Chair of our church's Stewardship Committee.
