- Respect the purpose of the community. The goals of this community are to assist NACAC members in their professional pursuits, to help maintain connections between colleagues, build strong and mutually beneficial ties between all members, and increase opportunities for engagement. To meet the goals of this community, it is important for members to feel like they are in a safe place populated by people with shared goals and mutual respect.
- Use caution when discussing products or sensitive topics. Information posted on the discussion groups and in the libraries is available for all to see, and comments are subject to libel, slander, and antitrust laws. Please adhere to best practices and regulations with respect to student information.

Member Directory: Using personal contact information made available through the Member Directory —including names, mailing addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, social media accounts, employment information—for any commercial, advocacy, promotional, or political purpose is prohibited. Prohibited activities include solicitations for business or personal services, fundraising, cold-calling of any kind, mass-mailings, broadcast e-mails, and posting links to lead magnets or forms that collect email addresses.
Library: The NACAC Engage Library is a collaborative repository of information uploaded by members. NACAC cannot guarantee the accuracy or validity of documents, links, or other information uploaded to the library. However, we do monitor the contents and reserve the right to delete content.
Discussion Group Etiquette
- Consider the diverse experiences, perspectives, and cultural backgrounds of the NACAC member community. Do not assume that others have the same values or norms.
- State concisely and clearly the topic of your comments in the subject line. This allows members to respond appropriately to your posting and makes it easier for members to search the archives by subject.
- Do not send administrative messages, such as “remove me from the list,” to the group. Instead, use the web interface to change your settings or to remove yourself from a list. If you are changing email addresses, you do not need to remove yourself from the list and rejoin under your new email address. Edit your username to change your email address.
